The enegren/ firestone event is a co-tap takeover featuring their collab Pilsner called, “American Reinheitsgebot”
Each year Enegren partners with a different American brewery to brew a beer in accordance to the German purity laws, but with 100% American grown ingredients. These purity laws are called “the reinheitsgebot”. These purity laws were enacted in the year of our lord 1516 and set standards on brewing practices in Germany. These laws stated that beer could only be produced with certain ingredients: water, barley, and hops. (Yeast is definitely an ingredient but not quite fully understood at this point yet)
The hops and barley used in this beer are similar to what you would find in Germany but grown in the US.
The malt is from Admiral Maltings out of Alameda, CA and the hops are American grown HBC 1134 Hops, which are an American twist on classic Noble hops.
